Another Middle River Press award!
The Adventures of Charlie Pierce: The Last Egret, has won the Bronze medal in the Florida Book Awards Children’s Literature category for 2010. In this fifth year of the competition, 179 books were submitted across seven categories.
Congratulations to Harvey E. Oyer III, author; Jon VanZile, editor; James Balkovek, illustrator, and Jeanne Brady, map illustrator.
The American Jungle, the first book in the series The Adventures of Charlie Pierce by Harvey E. Oyer III, was just awarded two gold medals by the Florida Publishers Association in the categories of Children's Fiction Book and Florida Children's Book, sweeping the awards for children's books in Florida in this 2010 competition.

MRP was a 2008 medalist in the Independent Publisher Regional Book Award competition for our title: Florida’s Lighthouses in the Civil War by Neil E. Hurley.
