    Middle River Press Marketing Strategy

After you have given a copy of your book to your family members, your close friends, your business associates and lined the shelves of your den and office, then what?

Few self-published books make it to the bestseller list, although it does happen, but don’t underestimate the amount of local interest there may be in your story. One of the things Middle River Press does best is finding out where that interest lies. Here is what we can do for you:

Before your book is printed, a press release will be sent out to any individuals, groups, organizations and media that we think may have interest in your story. Our experience makes us very successful at identifying targets that will be interested in your title. If you have some organizations you think would be interested, such as fraternities or church groups, we will contact them as well.

We send out review copies to those who have received the press release and responded that they would like more information. Review copies are a good way to introduce your book to local bookstores,

We can arrange book signings. Small bookstores love to promote local authors.

We will submit your publication to Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com where it will be available for purchase.

A custom-designed post card is sent out to the Middle River Press database, as well as the author’s list of potential buyers after publication.

We have been successful at helping authors sell more books than they anticipated, but you need to be realistic about sales results.
